ABCs of Emily

Emily got a new Alphabet Train Puzzle today. Each piece is a letter on a train car with an object. Emily was able to name each object surprisingly well, with a few funny exceptions. A=apple, B=balloon, C=kitty, D=puppy dog, E=egg, F=?(flag), G=?(gate), H=house, I=?(igloo), J=grape(jelly with a cherry on top), K=?(kite), L=lights on!, M=mouse, N=numbers, O=orange, P=?(penguin), Q=?(queen), R=rainbow, S=snail, T=tree, U=parachute(umbrella), V=guitar(violin), W=snake(worm), X=picture(x-ray), Z=horse(zebra). And then it was time for a snack.

Emily Winks

Now that Charmaine and Isabelle have gone back to Fort Qu'appelle, Emily, Isaiah and Claire have agreed to keep up the blog. Today Emily was midway through a bowl of spaghetti when she decided she was hot. "I hot!" So she took off her sweater, then her shirt, then her pants. "Toes hot!" Then her socks. Down to her underwear, she finished her spaghetti. Then she pointed at her pile of clothes. "Clothes on!" and she started to put her clothes back on. Her shirt ended up inside out and backwards and her pants were also backwards. But she dressed herself. Then she winked.

Kreuger Reunion by Isabelle
Today I was looking at the map because the Seventh Avenue Kreugers are planning a family vacation this summer. Hopefully Charmaine and I get to go too. We are planning to go to five provinces and maybe some places in the U.S.A. on the way home. We are going in June and July this year for five weeks. We are going because there is a Kreuger family reunion in Sherbrooke , Quebec. I feel very excited about this! I can hardly wait.
Piano Lessons by Charmaine
Today I started to learn how to play the piano. I'm learning to play the song A Whole New World from the movie Aladdin. The song sounds good because Aladdin is one of my favorite movies. Claire helps me play the song because I don't know what to do. I have half of the song to play still. I love playing the piano.

When Isaiah Was Born by Charmaine
My cousin Isaiah was born last spring. When me and Isabelle were in science camp Claire went into labour. She waited at home and she was feeling lonesome for Emily. Before Claire went into labour Dan took pictures of Emily and Claire. So Dan hung pictures all over the house. The next day we waited until noon time and we all went to the hospital. We let Claire's mom go see Isaiah and then mommy went and then Isabelle and I got to go see him. We all got to see Isaiah after he was born. They came home on Thursday and we had to be quiet.
Shrove Tuesday by Isabelle
On February 16 we had Shrove Tuesday. It is all about having pancakes for supper but instead we had crêpes. They are something like pancakes but they are skinnier. They were good and Grandma came over for supper. We also had bacon, juice, whipping cream and fruit salad. I had to clean up after supper but it is okay.

The Mardi Gras By Charmaine Kreuger
Today we went to Mardi Gras at the church and won some toys. I won a glow stick and a Rosary and a pop. Emily won lots of stuff. I tried bingo but i didn't win anything. All of us had lots of fun. We played darts, bean bag toss, bingo, sock toss, ring toss, we even guessed what was in a jar. That is what we played at the Mardi Gras.
The Winter Festival By Isabelle
On January 29, there was a winter Festival put on by the Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association. We did lots of neat stuff like make a paper teepee. It was lots of fun. We had a round dance with lots of people. They have to go around in a circle. We played in the the teepee. It was really big. We made a dream catcher to catch our bad dreams.

Ground Hog Day by Charmaine
On Ground Hog Day we went to see a ground hog and her name was Snewsie.
We had to stay outside for a long time but it was worth it because she gave us lots of hugs and we got our picture taken with her. Then we went to the
museum for hot chocolate and cookies. We did crafts and played games
and then we went home.
The Olympic Torch by Isabelle
On January 10 the Olympic torch came to Moose Jaw. All we did is stood for a long time. There was a stage set up by the mall. On the stage they did an acrobat show. On the acrobat show, there was a girl being flexible on a hula hoop. They had my auntie sing a song with her choir and she sang the song There is a light.
